KATHMANDU: Nexon Venture Pvt Ltd, the official distributor of LS Auto in Nepal, is showcasing two new electric vehicle (EV) models at the upcoming 2025 NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo.
The company is unveiling the LEV 05 and LEV X at the event, which is scheduled to take place from August 5 to 9 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. LS Auto is also participating in the 2025 NADA Auto Show.
The LEV 05 is a premium electric hatchback measuring 4,200 mm long, 1,770 mm wide and 1,610 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm and ground clearance of 175 mm. It comes equipped with 17-inch aluminum wheels.
Powered by a 50 kW front-wheel-drive motor, the LEV 05 falls into Nepal’s lowest EV tax bracket, which enables the company to offer it at an affordable price. It delivers a peak torque of 180 Nm. What sets the LEV 05 apart in its segment is its 56 kWh LFP battery, which offers a real-world driving range of over 400 kilometers on a single charge. Charging options include a 60 kW DC fast charger and a 7 kW AC charger. It will directly compete with models like the BYD Dolphin and Dongfeng’s Nammi Box in the Nepali market.
The LEV X, on the other hand, is an all-wheel drive upgrade of the existing LEV 01 model. The LEV X features a combined 200 kW dual-motor setup (front and rear) and a 77 kWh battery pack.
Design-wise, the LEV X includes several upgrades, such as a redesigned dashboard with new AC vents, a hydraulic front bonnet, and a front trunk for additional luggage space.
