KATHMANDU: Homegrown electric two-wheeler brand Yatri has given a sneak peek of its second model, the P2 electric scooter.
The company posted an image of the upcoming electric scooter on its social media channels, hinting that the much-awaited model will soon be on the market.
The P2 is being developed through a joint venture between Yatri Motorcycles and Sipradi Trading, one of Nepal’s largest automobile trading companies. The scooter is likely to be unveiled at the 2025 NADA Auto Show in August.
In the image, Yatri has revealed the rear profile of the P2, describing the design as the outcome of the team’s dedicated efforts. The company has said that it is on course to pilot production at the end of the year. “We believe it’s a real leap forward in local manufacturing, innovation and disrupting the local electric two-wheeler landscape,” Yatri said in the post.
The P2 features a mid-mounted motor with a ‘Made in Nepal’ badge, emphasizing its local manufacturing roots.
Pre-bookings for the P2 are expected to open during the Auto Show.

In terms of design, the P2 sports sharp lines and a sporty, modern look, particularly noticeable in the rear side panels. Yatri says the P2 is designed to offer Nepali riders a premium electric scooter experience built in Nepal, for Nepal.
