KATHMANDU: Pre-bookings for the Yatri P2 electric scooter are now open in Nepal.

Sipradi Yatri has started accepting pre-bookings for the P2 at the NADA Auto Show 2026. The company has not yet announced the official price of the scooter.

The Yatri P2 is the first electric scooter designed, developed and manufactured entirely in Nepal.

It is powered by a 10kW electric motor, making it one of the most powerful electric scooters available in Nepal. The P2 will be offered with three battery options: 3kWh, 3.7kWh and 5.2kWh.

The 5.2kWh battery offers a claimed range of 157km on a single charge. The 3.7kWh and 3kWh battery versions offer claimed ranges of 112km and 90km, respectively.

The P2 is the first scooter in its segment to feature DC fast charging, according to Yatri. With a 3.3kW fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 41 minutes.

Using the home charger, the P2 can reach 80 percent charge in around 2 hours and 50 minutes.

The scooter supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also features a smart display and real-time energy monitoring. Its battery management system has been certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).

The P2 gets a 1,390mm wheelbase, which is designed to improve stability at higher speeds and on uneven roads. It also provides a spacious legroom area.

The scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels and has 175mm of ground clearance. The higher ground clearance is suited to Nepal’s varied road conditions.
