KATHMANDU: The Yatri P2 is undergoing extensive road testing in Nepal. It is the first electric scooter being developed by Yatri Motorcycles.

The project is backed by a joint investment between Sipradi Trading and Yatri Motorcycles. The scooter is currently being tested on different road conditions across the country.

Recent testing has been carried out on the uphill section of Kulekhani-Deurali. The company has already completed over 7,000 km of testing across more than a dozen locations.

Latest images show a motorcycle-like design. The styling is different from conventional scooters. It features 14-inch wheels and a mid-mounted motor setup. An LED headlamp is also visible. Technical details such as motor output and battery capacity are yet to be disclosed.

The company has not announced an official launch date. However, with extended testing already completed, the model is expected to debut soon.

The P2 has been fully designed and developed in Nepal. Earlier, Yatri introduced the Yatri P0 and Yatri P1 as its first electric motorcycles.
