KATHMANDU: Yatri Motorcycles has moved its new electric scooter concept, the P2, into the pre-production stage. The company confirmed that it has completed the required testing process and is now preparing the model for production.

Yatri shared images of two scooters undergoing tests in Jiri and announced that the P2 project has reached the production phase. The company said the scooter will be introduced to the market soon.

The project gained momentum after Sipradi Trading invested in Yatri Motorcycles. The company has been working on the P2 concept scooter and is preparing the final production version.

Yatri said the journey of the P2 has involved extensive testing and continuous development. The company stated that the scooter has undergone thousands of kilometers of testing and received improvements based on real-world performance.

The production model of the P2 is expected to make its public debut soon. It is likely to be showcased at the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2026.

The Yatri P2 was previously spotted during testing around the hills near Kathmandu. The scooter appears to feature a sporty design with sharp body lines and a muscular rear section.

Based on earlier teasers, the P2 is expected to come with a mid-mounted motor setup. The scooter features a wide seat, a large floorboard, and a distinct design approach.

The P2 appears to use 12-inch alloy wheels, an aluminum swingarm, and dual-sided spring suspension. The scooter also gets a sharp front design with a sporty overall appearance.
