KATHMANDU: LEV X, the all-wheel drive (AWD) variant of LS Auto’s LEV 01 SUV, is all set to hit the Nepali market this August.
Nexon Ventures, the official distributor of LS Auto in Nepal, has announced that the LEV X will be launched during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo to be held in Kathmandu on August 6-10.
While the new AWD version will retain the same body design as the existing LEV 01, interior specifications will be different. According to the company, it features redesigned AC vents and other design enhancements.
The LEV X will feature a dual motor setup, with one motor on each axle, delivering a combined output of 198 kilowatts. It also comes equipped with a larger 77 kWh battery, up from the 67 kWh unit in the LEV 01.
“With the segment-leading ground clearance of 210 mm and an all-wheel-drive system, the LEV X is well-suited for off-road driving in Nepal’s terrain,” Nexon Ventures said.
Meanwhile, Nexon Ventures is also planning to launch the LEV 05, a premium hatchback, during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo.
The LEV 05 will directly compete with models like the BYD Dolphin and NAMMI 01 in the Nepali market.
