KATHMANDU: Mahindra’s upcoming BE 7 electric SUV has been spotted charging at a station in Bengaluru, India. New spy images by Rushlane offer a clearer look at the production-spec design of the upcoming model.
The camouflaged SUV appears to be a five-seater, with proportions similar to the BE.07 concept showcased in 2022.
The latest images reveal conventional wing mirrors, replacing the camera-based units seen on the concept. Other visible features include flush-fitting pop-out door handles, frameless doors and large aerodynamic alloy wheels.
At the front, the SUV features C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) surrounding vertically stacked LED headlamps. The rear gets slim LED tail lamps with a design similar to other Mahindra INGLO platform models.
The interior is expected to feature a three-screen setup, including a digital instrument cluster, central infotainment display and a separate screen for the front passenger. Other highlights include an illuminated steering wheel logo, ambient lighting and a panoramic glass roof.
The BE 7 is expected to sit above the BE 6 in Mahindra’s electric SUV lineup. It is likely to get 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options, paired with a rear-mounted electric motor.
Once launched, the SUV will compete with models such as the Tata Harrier EV, VinFast VF 7 and BYD Atto 3. Mahindra has not yet confirmed its launch date or final specifications.
