Royal Enfield goes electric for the first time with the launch of The Flying Flea C6

KATHMANDU; Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 has been officially launched in India. The bike is priced at 279,000 Indian rupees (ex-showroom). With Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), the price drops to 199,000 Indian rupees.

This is the first electric bike from Royal Enfield. The Flying Flea C6 is powered by a 3.91 kWh battery. It delivers a claimed range of 154 km (IDC).

The motor produces 20.65 BHP and 60 Nm torque. It can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 3.7 seconds. Top speed is rated at 115 km/h.

Charging from 0 to 100 percent takes around 2 hours 16 minutes. Charging from 20 to 80 percent takes about 1 hour 5 minutes.

The bike features a retro design with a circular headlamp and a teardrop-style tank. It gets a 3.5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.

It is built on a forged aluminum frame. Suspension includes a girder-style front fork and a rear mono-shock. The battery uses a magnesium casing for better cooling. The bike weighs 124 kg.

The Flying Flea C6 rides on 19-inch wheels. It gets disc brakes on both ends with dual-channel ABS.

Other features include adjustable regenerative braking and five riding modes: City, Rain, Highway, Sport, and Custom. A pillion seat will be available as an optional accessory.
