SHANGHAI: The 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, also known as Auto Shanghai 2025, kicked off on Wednesday.
Approximately 1,000 companies from 26 countries are participating in the 10-day auto show being held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai. These companies are showcasing 1,414 vehicles, including 93 world car debuts and 271 new-energy models, according to the Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai and the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
Various companies have unveiled dozens of new vehicle models on the very first day of the show. Chinese brands such as BYD, Firefly, Huawei, Changan, Dongfeng, Omoda/Jaecoo, Zeekr, Geely, Denza, Yangwang, Xpeng, Jetour, Li Auto, Leapmotor and numerous Chinese startup companies have showcased their products.
Similarly, Japanese brands including Toyota, Nissan, Mazda and Honda, as well as European brands like Volkswagen, Renault, BMW, Mercedes, Bentley, Porsche, iCar, Smart, Avatr and Jetour, have displayed their new models.
Additionally, luxury brands such as NIO, Onvo, Xiaomi, Huawei, Fang Cheng Bao, BMW, Great Wall Motors and Lotus have also introduced their new models.
Some of the new models displayed at the Auto Shanghai will also be launched in Nepal. Models such as Jaecoo’s J5, Li Auto’s B10, NAMMI 06, MG’s Cyber X, Deepal’s S09, Xiaomi’s SU7, and Volkswagen ID.3 are set to arrive in Nepal.
