KATHMANDU: Porsche has revealed the 2026 Cayenne Electric, taking its best-selling SUV into a fully electric era. The new model is built on the PPE platform used in the Macan EV. It keeps the current Cayenne’s 3,020 mm wheelbase, which helps increase rear-seat space.
The Cayenne Electric comes in two all-wheel-drive versions: the standard model and the high-performance Cayenne Turbo Electric. Porsche says the Turbo, priced at 163,000 USD, is the most powerful production model in the brand’s history.
Its dual-motor setup produces 844 hp, with an extra boost available through Push-to-Pass. Launch Control raises total output to 1,139 hp and 1,500 Nm of torque. The Turbo can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and reach 260 km/h.
The standard Cayenne Electric starts at 109,000 USD. It delivers 402 hp, or 435 hp in launch mode. It produces 834 Nm of torque, does 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, and has a top speed of 230 km/h.

Both models feature strong regenerative braking of up to 600 kW. Porsche says 97 percent of everyday braking does not need the physical brakes. Optional PCCB carbon-ceramic brakes are available.
Air suspension with PASM is standard. The Turbo adds a torque-vectoring rear differential. Rear-wheel steering and Porsche Active Ride with active anti-roll control are optional.
A 113 kWh battery powers both models. Thanks to the 800-volt system, charging from 10 to 80 percent takes under 16 minutes at up to 400 kW. Optional 11 kW wireless charging will be offered in the United States.
The design follows Porsche’s latest EV look. It has a lower hood, slimmer headlights, sharper lines, and frameless doors. At the rear, a 3D light bar and illuminated Porsche lettering stand out.

The Turbo version gets a special “Turboite” trim. The drag coefficient is 0.25. An optional Off-Road Design Package improves approach and departure angles.
Inside, the SUV offers more rear legroom, powered seats, heated surfaces, and a panoramic sunroof with adjustable transparency. The dashboard features Porsche’s new Flow Display with dual OLED screens. A 14.9-inch passenger screen is optional.
Higher trims offer an 87-inch AR head-up display, an updated Voice Pilot assistant, and new infotainment features such as streaming and cloud gaming. Porsche keeps physical buttons for key functions to maintain easy operation.

The all-electric Cayenne will be sold alongside the combustion-engine and plug-in hybrid versions. A few units of the Porsche Macan 4 Electric have arrived in Nepal, marking the EV’s presence in the country.
