KATHMANDU: Nissan has revealed the new-generation Juke EV and X-Trail hybrid at its 2026 Vision global business outlook event.

The third-generation Nissan Juke will be offered as a fully electric model, marking Nissan’s third global EV. The SUV features a bold and unconventional design with sharp body lines, split headlamps, blacked-out elements, and integrated rear door handles.

The Juke EV is based on the CMF-EV platform, which also underpins the Nissan Leaf. It is expected to use battery options similar to the Leaf, including 52 kWh and 75 kWh packs paired with a front-mounted motor.

The fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail will be introduced with a hybrid powertrain for the first time. It features a more conventional SUV design with a large front grille, hexagonal DRLs, and an upright profile.

The new X-Trail will use Nissan’s e-POWER series hybrid system, where the wheels are driven by electric motors while the petrol engine acts as a generator. The SUV will feature a dual-motor setup, indicating an all-wheel-drive configuration.

Nissan has not yet disclosed detailed specifications or launch timelines for both models.
