KATHMANDU: Authorities have imposed a night-time vehicle restriction on the Khurkot-Bhakundebesi road section under the BP Highway. Vehicles are not allowed to operate from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
The decision was taken on Tuesday following a directive from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority. It came after coordination between officials of Kavre and Sindhuli districts and a meeting of the District Security Committee.
TheDistrict Administration Office Kavrepalanchok issued a public notice confirming the restriction. The rule will remain in effect until further notice.
The administration stated that all vehicle movement will be fully halted during the restricted hours.
Authorities also warned that travel may be stopped at any time based on weather conditions. Risks include rainfall and possible flooding in the Roshi Khola area.
Travelers are advised to check road conditions before using the Katunje-Nepalthok section of the highway.
