KATHMANDU: South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Company continues to see strong demand for the Hyundai Creta and Hyundai Venue in the Indian market.
The company sold a total of 51,902 vehicles in India in April 2026. Out of the total sales, Creta and Venue alone accounted for 53.38 percent.
Among Hyundai’s 10 models sold in India, Creta remained the best-selling model. Available in both EV and petrol versions, Hyundai sold 15,291 units of Creta in April. However, sales were down by 10 percent compared to the same period last year.
The second-generation Venue also played a major role in Hyundai’s sales growth. The updated model with a new design was launched in October 2025. Hyundai sold 12,420 units of Venue in April, up by 56 percent year-on-year. The company had sold 7,953 units in April 2025.
Sales of the premium hatchback Hyundai i20 also increased significantly. Hyundai sold 5,624 units of the i20 in April, marking a 60 percent growth compared to 3,525 units sold in the same month last year.
Similarly, Hyundai sold 8,096 units of the Hyundai Exter, 4,149 units of the Hyundai Grand i10, 4,587 units of the Hyundai Aura, 850 units of the Hyundai Alcazar, 865 units of the Hyundai Verna and 20 units of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 in April.
Overall, Hyundai’s total sales in India increased to 51,902 units last month from 44,374 units in April 2025.
