KATHMANDU: MG has launched the new MG S6 electric SUV in Nepal. The company’s official distributor Paramount Motors has announced the price of the SUV at Rs 6.999 million.
The price of the MG S6 is lower than its direct rivals in the segment. The BYD Sealion 7 is priced at Rs 7.999 million, while the Deepal S07 costs Rs 7.499 million. Similarly, the Leapmotor C10 is available at Rs 7.2 million.
The MG S6 is available in Nepal with a rear-wheel-drive setup. In international markets, the SUV is offered in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants.

Powering the SUV is a 180 kW electric motor that produces 350 Nm of torque. The company claims the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.
The MG S6 comes with a 77 kWh LFP battery pack. According to WLTP certification, it offers a driving range of up to 530 kilometers on a full charge.
The SUV supports up to 144 kW DC fast charging. MG claims the battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 38 minutes.

In terms of dimensions, the SUV is 4,708 mm long, 1,912 mm wide and 1,672 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2,835 mm and offers 674 liters of boot space.
Inside the cabin, the MG S6 shares several design elements with the MG 5. It gets a 12.8-inch infotainment screen, 11-speaker audio system, heated seats and panoramic sunroof. The SUV also includes a front trunk.
The SUV comes with several technology-focused features, including adjustable regenerative braking, one-pedal driving and an optional rain night mode.

For safety, the MG S6 gets AEB, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, Level 2 ADAS, cruise control, and seven airbags. The SUV has also received a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.
In terms of styling, the front design of the MG S6 looks similar to the MG 5, while the rear section gets a more distinct appearance.
