MG 07 launched boasting 650 km battery range and 185 km plug-in hybrid range

KATHMANDU: MG has unveiled the new MG 07 fastback sedan, which will be available in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) versions, according to Autohome.

The new model has been listed in China’s new energy vehicle purchase tax exemption catalog. The MG 07 is positioned in the mid-size sedan segment and targets approximately $22,152 to $29,536 price range.

The fully electric version comes with a 67 kWh battery pack. It offers two range options of 650 km and 610 km under the CLTC testing standard. The rear-mounted electric motor produces 176 kW of power.

The PHEV variant gets a 30 kWh battery paired with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. The setup produces 82 kW from the engine and 152 kW from the electric motor. It delivers an electric-only range of 185 km under the WLTC standard.

The MG 07 also features advanced driver assistance technology with a roof-mounted lidar sensor. It uses the Momenta R7 smart driving system powered by an X7 chip.

The fastback sedan features a sporty design with a sloping rear profile, panoramic glass roof, C-shaped headlight design, flush door handles, and new alloy wheels.
