KATHMANDU: Chery Automobile Group’s QQ sub-brand is set to enter the Nepali market. The Chery QQ electric hatchback will be unveiled at the upcoming NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.

SPG Automobiles, the authorized distributor of Chery’s new energy brands Omoda, Jaecoo, and iCaur in Nepal, will introduce the QQ brand. The Nepal-bound model will be the QQ 3 based on Australian specifications.

Chery started producing the original QQ hatchback in 2005. The model was also sold in Nepal around 2008. After crossing more than one million units in production, Chery discontinued the model in 2014.

The new QQ 3 electric hatchback measures 4,195 mm in length, 1,811 mm in width, and 1,569 mm in height. It comes with a 2,700 mm wheelbase.

The vehicle features an oval-shaped headlight design with dual horizontal daytime running lights. The rear also gets oval-style tail lamps, giving the hatchback a distinct design.

The QQ 3 will come with a rear-wheel-drive setup. It is equipped with a 41.28 kWh battery pack that delivers a CLTC range of up to 420 km.

The Nepal-bound QQ 3 will feature a 90 kW electric motor. The motor produces 115 Nm of peak torque. According to Chery, the battery can charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 16.5 minutes.

The premium electric hatchback will offer a feature-rich cabin. It comes with a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating touchscreen, oval-shaped AC vents, AI-based voice control, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip.

The vehicle will also include a 50W wireless charger, smartphone connectivity, and Falcon 500 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). It will feature connected technology and ambient lighting with 256 color options.
