KATHMANDU: Skoda has launched the performance-focused Kodiaq RS in India at an ex-showroom price of 6.70 million Indian rupees. The SUV is being imported as a completely built unit (CBU).
The first batch of 50 units has already been sold out, reflecting strong initial demand.
Positioned above the Kodiaq Laurin & Klement (L&K) variant, the RS features a sportier design. It gets a blacked-out front grille, redesigned bumpers, dual chrome exhaust tips, and 20-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers.
Inside, the SUV has an all-black cabin with red accents. Other features include heated and ventilated front seats with memory function, dual wireless charging pads, and automatic climate control.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 261 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.
According to Skoda, the Kodiaq RS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and has a top speed of 231 km/h. It also features adaptive suspension and upgraded brakes for improved performance.
