KATHMANDU: Dongfeng’s premium off-road electric SUV brand MHERO has showcased its flagship MHERO 1 at the NADA Auto Show 2026.

MAW Vriddhi, the official distributor of Dongfeng vehicles in Nepal, has brought the MHERO 1 to the 18th edition of the NADA Auto Show at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

The MHERO 1 is a full-size luxury electric SUV designed for high-performance off-road driving. It combines a rugged design with premium features and strong electric performance.

The SUV is powered by four electric motors, with one motor driving each wheel. The system produces a combined 800 kW, equivalent to 1,088 hp, and 1,400 Nm of peak torque.

Despite its size and weight of around 3.5 tonnes, the MHERO 1 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.

The SUV gets a 142.7 kWh battery pack. It offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 450 km on a full charge.

Built for challenging terrain, the MHERO 1 comes with air suspension. Its ground clearance starts at 240 mm and can be raised to around 330-335 mm. It can also wade through water up to 900 mm deep.

The SUV gets dedicated off-road driving modes for sand, rock, mud and water. It also features three differential locks and a tank-turn function for improved off-road capability.

Inside, the MHERO 1 gets a premium cabin with multiple large screens. The dashboard features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch central touch screen and a 12.3-inch passenger display.

The SUV also features a large three-spoke steering wheel and distinctive exterior door handles inspired by a pistol-grip design.

The MHERO 1 is positioned as a high-performance luxury off-roader that can rival models such as the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and other premium electric off-road SUVs.

MAW Vriddhi is expected to start sales of the MHERO 1 in Nepal from early 2027.
