KATHMANDU: Buying the Tata Nexon EV has become easier with a special offer from Sipradi Trading, the official distributor of Tata Motors in Nepal. The electric SUV, priced at Rs. 4.499 million, is now available with a down payment of just Rs. 549,000.
Under the offer, customers can purchase the Nexon EV by paying Rs. 549,000 upfront. According to the company, buyers will receive a loan facility covering 80% of the vehicle’s price, while a special discount will cover part of the remaining amount.
Under the current Nepal Rastra Bank provision, vehicle buyers generally need to make a minimum down payment of 40%. Based on this requirement, customers would normally have to pay around Rs. 1.8 million up front to buy the Nexon EV.
However, Sipradi has introduced the offer to reduce the initial payment. The company says customers can receive a loan of Rs. 3.6 million, equivalent to 80% of the vehicle’s price. Of the remaining Rs. 900,000, customers need to pay Rs. 549,000 as the down payment, while the company will provide a special discount of Rs. 350,000.
Tata Nexon EV: features and specifications
The Tata Nexon EV features a modern design with split LED headlights, a connected LED light strip and a redesigned front bumper. It also gets 16-inch alloy wheels with an aerodynamic design and connected sequential LED taillights at the rear.
The electric SUV measures 3,993 mm in length, 1,811 mm in width and 1,606 mm in height. It has a 2,498 mm wheelbase, 190 mm ground clearance and 350 liters of boot space.
Inside, the Nexon EV features a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. Its dashboard houses a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Other features include a 360-degree camera, wireless charger, nine-speaker JBL sound system and voice alerts.
The Nexon EV comes with a 45 kWh prismatic battery pack. The company claims a driving range of 325 km on a full charge. It is powered by a 98 kW electric motor.
The SUV supports charging through a 7.2 kW AC charger and DC fast charging at up to 60 kW. It also gets a four-level regenerative braking system.
In terms of safety, the Nexon EV has received a five-star rating from Bharat NCAP. Its safety features include six airbags, disc brakes on all wheels, electronic stability control (ESC), an electronic parking brake with auto-hold and blind-spot monitoring.
