KATHMANDU: Changan Nevo Q05 is gaining attention in Nepal, with several well-known personalities from the entertainment industry choosing the electric SUV.
Launched in Nepal in August, the Nevo Q05 has already been delivered to singer Swapna Suman and actresses Jyotsna Yogi, Miruna Magar, Anna Sharma and Jasita Gurung. More celebrities are also expected to take delivery soon.
The growing interest among celebrities has helped bring more attention to the new SUV. The brand promotes the Q05 under the slogan ‘A Class Above’, highlighting its design, comfort and technology.
Singer and songwriter Swapna Suman and actress and model Jyotsna Yogi are among the early customers. Their choice has added visibility to the model in Nepal’s entertainment and lifestyle circles.
Actress Miruna Magar, known for her role in Kabaddi 4, has also joined the Q05 customer group. Actresses Anna Sharma, who made her film debut with Jerryy, and Jasita Gurung, who began her acting career with Lily Bily, have also chosen the SUV.
Beyond its celebrity appeal, the Nevo Q05 offers several features aimed at everyday use. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2,735 mm, while the company says 86.6% of the interior space is used efficiently to provide a roomy cabin.
Its design was developed under the leadership of Klaus Zyciora, Changan’s global design vice president and former head of design at the Volkswagen Group. Key features include the ‘Digital Wing 2.0’ lighting design and partially concealed door handles.
The Q05 also uses Changan’s Golden Shield Battery 2.0 technology with CATL battery cells. According to the published specifications, the battery can charge from 30% to 80% in around 15 minutes under suitable conditions.
Other features include a 120 kW electric motor, a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and wireless smartphone connectivity.
The early interest from celebrities has given the Changan Nevo Q05 added visibility in Nepal. Its long-term appeal will also depend on its performance, features and ownership experience in the local market.
