KATHMANDU: Deliveries of the Changan Nevo Q05 electric SUV are set to begin in Nepal within the next few days.
MAW Vriddhi Motocorp, the official distributor of Changan in Nepal, has completed preparations to hand over the first units to customers.
The Nevo Q05 was launched in Nepal in August. According to the company, the SUV drew a large number of bookings at the NADA Auto Show, and those customers will begin receiving their vehicles shortly.
The company has priced the Max variant at Rs 4,899,000 and the Ultra variant at Rs 5,199,000. At the NADA Auto Show, both variants were offered with an equal discount of Rs 200,000.
The Nevo Q05 has been the best-selling model in its segment in China for five consecutive months. According to the latest retail sales figures from China, 17,349 units of the Q05 were sold in August.
Much of the Q05’s appeal comes from its combination of space, comfort, technology, and pricing. A 2,735mm wheelbase gives it a roomy cabin, while reclining rear seats, practical luggage capacity, nine-layer seat construction, and multiple storage spaces make it a sensible choice for families.
CATL battery cells and 3C fast-charging technology allow the battery to be charged from 30% to 80% in around 15 minutes under suitable conditions. A contemporary design, aerodynamic profile, smart features, and a premium-looking interior have added to its appeal among younger, tech-oriented buyers.
The Nevo Q05 measures 4,435mm in length, 1,855mm in width, and 1,600mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735mm and ground clearance of 185mm.
The SUV is fitted with a 51.9 kWh Golden Shield 2.0 LFP battery pack, which the company claims delivers a range of 462 km on the NEDC cycle on a single full charge. It supports DC fast charging of up to 162 kW.
Powering the vehicle is a 120 kW electric motor producing 163 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds.
