KATHMANDU: Maruti Suzuki has commenced global exports of its made-in-India midsize SUV, Victoris, with the first batch of 450 units shipped.

For international markets, the Victoris will be rebadged as Suzuki Across. The company plans to export the SUV to more than 100 countries across Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.

Maruti Suzuki Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi said that in calendar year 2025, Maruti Suzuki exported over 390,000 vehicles, becoming India’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year. The year also marked the company’s return to Europe with the export of its first battery electric vehicle, the e Vitara.

Takeuchi added that between CY2020 and CY2025, while India’s overall passenger vehicle exports grew by 1.43 times, Maruti Suzuki’s exports increased by 4.67 times. He said the addition of the Victoris is expected to further strengthen the company’s export performance in global markets.

Launched in India in September last year, the Victoris is positioned as a midsize SUV and is sold alongside the Grand Vitara. The Victoris is available with a 1.5-liter mild-hybrid petrol engine and a 1.5-liter strong-hybrid powertrain.

Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic, while the strong-hybrid variant is paired with an e-CVT. Select variants also offer all-wheel drive.

In Nepal, the Suzuki Victoris has been introduced by CG Motocorp. Sales have started with an introductory price of Rs 50.99 million.
