KATHMANDU: Bajaj Auto has officially become the owner of Austrian motorcycle brand KTM. The company completed its US$925 million takeover after receiving all necessary approvals from European regulators.
With this, Bajaj now fully owns KTM’s parent company, Pierer Bajaj AG (PBAG).
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Board of India, Bajaj confirmed that the deal was completed on November 18, 2025. Its subsidiary, Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV (BIAH), acquired all 50,100 shares of PBAG to finalize the transaction.
Through PBAG, BIAH now controls 74.9% of PMAG/KTM, giving Bajaj effective control of the KTM brand.
After the takeover, Bajaj has started restructuring the organization. PBAG will be renamed Bajaj Auto International Holdings AG, and PMAG will become Bajaj Mobility AG. Management changes are also underway across PBAG, PMAG, and KTM to align the brands under Bajaj’s leadership.
This acquisition is a major strategic step for Bajaj Auto, expanding its global presence and strengthening its position in the premium motorcycle market.
