KATHMANDU: Hyundai has announced UK pricing for the new IONIQ 3, its most affordable model in the IONIQ electric vehicle lineup. The compact electric hatchback made its public road debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed ahead of its market launch later this year.
The company said the IONIQ 3 has generated the highest level of customer interest ever recorded for a new Hyundai model. Orders are expected to open soon.
Pricing in the UK starts at around $29,720 for the Advance Standard Range variant, while the range-topping N-Line Evo Extended Range is priced at approximately $42,680.

The IONIQ 3 is offered with two battery options: 42.2 kWh and 61 kWh. The smaller battery delivers a WLTP-certified range of up to 344 km, while the larger pack offers up to 496 km on a single charge.
Built on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, the IONIQ 3 uses a 400V electrical architecture to reduce costs. With DC fast charging, the battery can be recharged from 10% to 80% in around 29-30 minutes, depending on the battery size.
The compact EV measures 4,155 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,505 mm in height, with a 2,680 mm wheelbase. Despite its compact dimensions, it offers 441 liters of luggage space.

Inside, the IONIQ 3 is the first Hyundai model in Europe to feature the new Pleos Connect infotainment system based on Android Automotive OS. It includes a smartphone-style interface, an AI assistant called Gleo AI, and 12.9-inch or 14.6-inch touchscreen options. Hyundai has also retained physical controls for climate and audio functions.
The IONIQ 3 is positioned below the IONIQ 5 as Hyundai’s entry-level electric hatchback.
