KATHMANDU: Jaecoo has officially introduced its updated electric SUV, the J6T, in the Nepali market. The model was unveiled during a special event by SPG Automobiles, the authorized distributor of Omoda & Jaecoo vehicles in Nepal.

Previously sold under the J6 nameplate, the SUV now arrives with updates and a refreshed identity under the new J6T badge.

The company has fixed the official price of the Jaecoo J6T at Rs 6.899 million, while a limited-time introductory offer provides a Rs 200,000 discount, bringing the effective price down to Rs 6.699 million.

The updated J6T features noticeable design upgrades, including a redesigned front grille along with improved proportions and stance. Ground clearance has been increased from 200 mm to 225 mm, enhancing its usability on rough roads and off-road trails.

The SUV measures 4,433 mm in length, 1,916 mm in width, and 1,741 mm in height. It offers an approach angle of 27 degrees and a departure angle of 31 degrees, allowing better performance in off-road conditions and adventure-focused driving.

The lifestyle-oriented electric SUV continues with a 65.69 kWh battery pack paired with a rear-wheel-drive electric motor producing 135 kW of power, similar to the earlier J6 model.

The Jaecoo J6T comes equipped with full LED lighting and a distinctive rear-mounted external storage box, while the 19-inch alloy wheels further enhance its rugged and boxy appearance. Inside, the SUV offers a premium cabin featuring a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and heated seats, and dual-zone climate control.

It also includes a large 15.6-inch infotainment system paired with a 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster, along with wireless phone charging for added convenience.

On the safety and driver assistance front, the J6T gets a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, six airbags, camera-based Level-2 ADAS, vehicle stability control, and front as well as rear parking sensors, positioning it as a feature-rich electric SUV in its segment.
