KATHMANDU: Kama electric vans have started serving the Birtamod-Ilam-Phidim-Taplejung route of Koshi Province.
Birat Auto Trading, the authorized dealer of Mega Motors, recently handed over five units of Kama electric vans to local transport entrepreneurs.
Mega Motors is the authorized distributor of Kama electric vehicles in Nepal.
The Kama ESP 7 van is equipped with a 70 kW motor and a 53.56 kWh battery. The van offers a range of 350 kilometers on a full charge.
According to Mega Motors, Kama electric vans will provide passengers with clean, quiet and economical travel. “This electric fleet is also expected to contribute significantly to reduce dependency on fossil fuel and air pollution,” it added.

The van has a ground clearance of 180mm and is suitable for both urban and rural areas, the company said.
