KATHMANDU: Shangrila Motors, the authorized distributor of Leapmotor in Nepal, is set to launch the Leapmotor B03X electric SUV this Friday. The model has already arrived in the country ahead of its official debut.
The SUV is sold as the Leapmotor A10 in China but will be marketed in Nepal as the B03X.
The company has yet to announce the official price. However, industry estimates suggest the electric SUV will be priced between Rs 3.5 million and Rs 4.5 million.
The B03X is designed as a compact electric SUV for everyday use. It is powered by a 145 kW electric motor paired with a 53 kWh battery pack. Leapmotor claims the SUV delivers a CLTC-certified driving range of up to 505 km on a full charge.
The battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in around 16 minutes using a DC fast charger. The SUV has a claimed energy consumption of 10.7 kWh per 100 km.
The B03X offers 510 liters of boot space and features a spacious cabin with a premium interior. It measures 4,270 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width and 1,635 mm in height, with a 2,605 mm wheelbase. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and comes with MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear suspension.
Inside, the SUV features a 14.6-inch central infotainment touchscreen and a fully digital instrument cluster. The minimalist cabin design is aimed at delivering a modern and technology-focused driving experience.
On the outside, the B03X adopts a clean, compact design with rounded styling elements and semi-hidden door handles, giving it a contemporary appearance.
