KATHMANDU: Shangrila Motors, the official distributor of Leapmotor in Nepal, has revealed the battery and motor specifications of the upcoming Leapmotor B03X compact electric SUV.
In a teaser released on Wednesday, the company confirmed that the Nepal-spec model will feature a 145 kW electric motor paired with a 53 kWh battery pack.
The SUV is sold as the Leapmotor A10 in China but will be introduced in Nepal under the B03X name. It comes with a front-wheel-drive configuration.
In international markets, the B03X is available with 39.8 kWh and 53 kWh battery options. This suggests that both variants could eventually be offered in Nepal, although the company has so far confirmed only the 53 kWh version.
The larger battery is expected to deliver a driving range of around 400 km. Leapmotor also claims the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in about 16 minutes using a DC fast charger. The SUV has a claimed energy consumption of 10.7 kWh per 100 km.
The B03X measures 4,270 mm in length and rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. The suspension setup includes MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear.
Inside, the SUV features a 14.6-inch central infotainment display and a digital instrument cluster. The cabin follows a minimalist design with a strong focus on technology.
On the outside, the B03X stands out with its compact proportions, rounded styling, and semi-hidden door handles, giving it a clean and modern appearance.
