Mahindra introduces BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs in Pokhara

KATHMANDU: Agni Incorporated Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Mahindra & Mahindra in Nepal, has launched its Electric Origin SUVs, BE 6 and XEV 9e in Pokhara.

The regional launch was held at Pokhara Event Center on March 20, following a multi-location EV showcase across the city. Both models are built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform and powered by MAIA architecture, focusing on performance, smart technology, and long driving range.

The BE 6 and XEV 9e are based on Mahindra’s Heartcore design philosophy. The BE 6 features a sporty and aggressive design with an athletic stance, targeting performance-oriented users. In contrast, the XEV 9e adopts a more premium SUV coupe styling with a refined and comfort-focused approach.

The BE 6 is powered by a 59 kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 543 km and producing 99 kW of power.

The XEV 9e is available with up to a 79 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of up to 656 km, with the top variant producing 199 kW.

Both SUVs feature rear-wheel drive, multiple drive modes, and single-pedal driving.

In terms of safety and technology, the BE 6 comes with Level 2 ADAS, while the XEV 9e offers an advanced Level 2+ ADAS system. Common features include a 360-degree camera, driver monitoring system, augmented reality head-up display, and Harman Kardon sound system.

Inside, the XEV 9e is equipped with a triple-screen setup, whereas the BE 6 features a digital cockpit layout.

The BE 6 is priced from Rs. 5.7 million and is available in three variants: Pack ONE ABOVE, Pack TWO, and Pack THREE SELECT.

The XEV 9e starts at Rs. 6.9 million and is offered in Pack TWO, Pack THREE SELECT, and Pack THREE variants. Bookings for both models are now open.

According to the company, the Pokhara launch is part of its plan to expand EV presence beyond major cities and improve regional accessibility.

Chairman of Agni Group, Cabinet Shrestha, stated that the shift to electric mobility is important for Nepal’s sustainable development and energy independence, adding that such regional launches highlight the role of advanced technology in delivering long-term economic and environmental benefits.
