MeroAuto donates educational items to students of Shree Kalika School

KATHMANDU: MeroAuto, an automobile news portal, donated educational and sports materials to students of Shree Kalika Basic School in Ukhubari of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-2, Sindhupalchowk.

The majority of students at the school belong to the indigenous Majhi community.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, MeroAuto provided school bags, pens, footballs, carom boards and other materials to over 60 students of the school during the fifth edition of its annual MeroAuto Motor Rally.

A team led by Editor-in-Chief Sagar Gajurel handed over the items to school principal Tika Parajuli.

“We are happy to support these students,” said Hari Gajurel, Managing Director of MeroAuto. “While our annual motor rally promotes tourism, we have also been using it as an opportunity to give back to the society.”

Gajurel added that MeroAuto plans to continue such efforts in the future as well.

The 5th MeroAuto Motor Rally kicked off from Naxal on Friday. It passed through Gaushala, Chabahil, Jorpati, Sankhu, Nagarkot, Kuntabesi, Zero kilo and Dolalghat before ending at Sunkoshi Beach Resort, Sukute. More than 40 vehicles and over 100 participants joined the event.

Automobile dealers, distributors, journalists and industry stakeholders, among others, participated in the rally.

Launched in 2021, the MeroAuto Motor Rally is held annually to mark the news portal’s anniversary. Past editions of the event covered destinations like Mulkot of Sindhuli, Trishuli of Nuwakot and Sauraha of Chitwan.
