Morbidelli T1002 VX 1000cc adventure bike arrives in Nepal, launch imminent

KATHMANDU: The Morbidelli T1002 VX, a 1000cc adventure motorcycle from Italian brand Morbidelli, has arrived in Nepal. Vaidya Group has brought the premium big bike into the country, and the model has already been spotted on the roads of Kathmandu.

Earlier, the company had showcased 250cc and 350cc adventure models at the NADA Auto Show 2025 and had indicated plans to launch Morbidelli motorcycles in Nepal by April 2026. The presence of the T1002 VX in Kathmandu suggests that the company is preparing for its official market launch.

While the exact launch date has not been announced, the motorcycle is expected to go on sale around the Nepali New Year.

The Morbidelli T1002 VX is positioned as a premium adventure tourer. It is powered by a 997cc V-twin, 8-valve engine producing 88.5 horsepower and 89 Nm of torque. The bike comes with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch.

Weighing 265 kg, the motorcycle features a 43 mm fully adjustable USD front fork and a KYB multi-link monoshock rear suspension. Braking setup includes dual 320 mm front discs and a 260 mm rear disc with Bosch ABS.

The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless spoke wheels. It has a 20-liter fuel tank and a seat height of 820 mm.

Key features include a 7-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, four riding modes (Rain, Standard, Sport, and Off-road), traction control, and cruise control. It also gets heated grips, a heated seat, full LED lighting, and an adjustable windshield.
