KATHMANDU: At least nine new vehicle models are expected to be unveiled during the NADA Auto Show 2025, which kicks off at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu, on August 19.

According to the organizers, NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, most participating brands at the Auto Show plan to introduce at least one new vehicle model.

MAW Vriddhi, the official distributor of Deepal in Nepal, is unveiling the much-anticipated Deepal S05 SUV, which is manufactured in Thailand, at the Auto Show. The SUV is positioned as a more affordable version compared to the brand’s popular S07 model.

The Nammi 06 electric crossover will be another new offering from MAW Vriddhi at the Auto Show. Nammi, a sub-brand of Chinese automobile giant Dongfeng, entered Nepal last year with the launch of the Nammi 01 hatchback. Following the success of Nammi 01, the company is now launching its SUV in the Nepali market.

Similarly, Indian automotive giant Tata Motors is expected to showcase the Harrier EV, which was recently launched in India, at the Auto Show. Sipradi Trading, the official distributor of Tata vehicles in Nepal, is working to bring the Harrier EV to Nepal, despite the SUV’s delivery not yet having begun in India.

The Lumin Mini is expected to be the most affordable hatchback available at this year’s show.

Meanwhile, CG Motocorp is planning to showcase Suzuki’s first electric SUV, the e Vitara, at the Auto Show. Although the electric SUV, built by Maruti Suzuki in India, will make its Nepal debut during the event, the official market launch is likely only after the festive season.

Similarly, LRR Group is unveiling Geely’s Galaxy E5 hatchback at the Auto Show. The company, however, has not shared any details about its price, specifications or availability.

Cimex Inc, the authorized distributor of BYD in Nepal, is expected to showcase the Seagull hatchback at the Auto Show. The budget-friendly EV has already generated significant buzz on social media.

CG Motors is also launching the Aion UT, an electric hatchback, during the Auto Show. The car is being positioned to compete in the premium hatchback EV segment.

Likewise, Changan’s Lumin Mini Car will go on sale at the Auto Show. MAW Vriddhi is likely to launch it under the Deepal brand umbrella in the Nepali market. The Lumin Mini is expected to be the most affordable hatchback available at this year’s show.
