KATHMANDU: SPG Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. is set to unveil the all-electric Jaecoo J5 SUV at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025.
This premium SUV joins the company’s lineup alongside the Omoda E5 and Jaecoo J6.
The Jaecoo J5 features bold styling and is designed for both city driving and outdoor adventures. It comes with a Level 2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, a 540-degree surround-view camera and independent suspension.
Inside, the J5 offers a tech-friendly and spacious cabin. Key features include ventilated seats, connected car tech, a digital instrument cluster, 1320mm-wide second-row seats, 256-color ambient lighting and 36 storage spaces. The trunk holds up to 480 liters of cargo.
The SUV is 4380mm long, 1860mm wide and 1650mm tall. It runs on 18-inch alloy wheels. A 155kW electric motor powers the car with a 58.9kWh battery, offering a WLTP-certified range of 402 km on a single charge.
For safety, the J5 includes features like Level 2 ADAS, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, Cruise Control, Emergency Braking and 19 more smart safety tools.
With the launch of the Jaecoo J5, SPG Automobiles aims to strengthen its position in Nepal’s growing EV market. The SUV combines performance, modern tech and rugged design, making it a solid choice for both daily drives and light off-road use.
