KATHMANDU: SPG Automobiles, the official distributor of OMODA in Nepal, has reduced the price of the OMODA E5 by Rs 700,000.
The electric SUV, which was earlier priced at Rs 6.199 million, is now available at Rs 5.499 million.
The new pricing was announced during the NAIMA Mobility Expo at Bhrikutimandap. According to the company, the price drop comes after a decrease in battery costs and lower production costs due to large-scale manufacturing.
“With some reduction in import costs, we have adjusted the price. This offers the best value to consumers,” said Gyanendra Chand, General Manager at SPG Automobiles.
The OMODA E5 is a coupe-style electric crossover SUV. It comes with a 61 kWh blade battery and offers a range of up to 420 km on Nepali roads. The SUV supports up to 11 kW AC charging and 80 kW DC fast charging. It can charge from 30% to 80% in just 28 minutes.
It is powered by a 99 kW electric motor and features a modern cabin with two connected 12.3-inch screens. For safety, the E-Five is equipped with ADAS and has 180 mm ground clearance.
