KATHMANDU: Vishal Enterprises is set to introduce the River Indie electric scooter in Nepal at the upcoming NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo. The company will officially unveil the premium electric scooter during the six-day mobility exhibition.
Ahead of its launch, the River Indie has already been spotted undergoing road tests in Kathmandu. The scooter was seen on various city roads, including the steep climb to White Gumba. The tests appear to be aimed at evaluating its performance in real Nepali riding conditions.
The River Indie is developed by Bengaluru-based EV startup River. It is marketed as the “SUV of Scooters” thanks to its rugged styling, high ground clearance and practical design. The scooter is designed to handle both city commutes and rougher roads.
The model has also gained international recognition. It is the only Indian two-wheeler to win both the Red Dot Design Concept Award 2024 and the Red Dot Product Design Award 2025.

Powering the Indie is a 4 kWh battery pack. It offers an IDC-certified range of up to 160 km on a full charge and a top speed of 90 km/h.
The scooter features 177 mm of ground clearance, 14-inch wheels and an 18-degree gradeability. It also comes with a 55-litre lockable storage compartment, a rider footpeg and a warranty of up to eight years.
Vishal Enterprises has fixed the River Indie’s MRP in Nepal at Rs. 370,000.
The River Indie is expected to be one of the major highlights of this year’s NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo. Visitors will be able to see the scooter at the Vishal Enterprises pavilion during the exhibition.
