KATHMANDU: SANY India has entered the country’s commercial vehicle market by handing over its first batch of heavy-duty electric trucks.
The company delivered 20 trucks to SG Green Logistics, marking its debut in electric trucking in India.
The trucks are designed to overcome one of the biggest hurdles in electric transport driving range. SG Green’s Managing Director said the new models can cover much longer routes than other electric trucks available in the country.
SANY’s wider portfolio includes the SKT105E, an electric off-highway mining truck. It features a 423 kWh battery, dual-motor parallel drive, 740 kW peak power and 21,000 Nm maximum torque. The truck has a 72-ton payload and a range of about 160 km when fully loaded.
