KATHMANDU: Tata Motors has launched 17 next-generation trucks in the Indian market, covering payloads from 7 tonnes to 55 tonnes. The lineup includes the all-new Azura series, the Trucks.ev electric range, and upgraded versions of the Prima, Signa, and Ultra platforms.
Tata Azura
The Azura is a new intermediate and light commercial vehicle (ILMCV) range. It will be offered in 7- to 19-tonne configurations. Power comes from a new 3.6-liter diesel engine.

The Azura range is designed for multiple applications. These include e-commerce, FMCG distribution, white goods delivery, construction materials, and agricultural and industrial goods. It is also suitable for intercity, medium-haul, and regional logistics.
Tata Trucks.ev
Tata Motors has introduced a full portfolio of electric trucks from 7 to 55 tonnes. These trucks are built on the Intelligent Modular Electric Vehicle (IMOEV) architecture. They are aimed at sustainable operations in e-commerce, construction, and port logistics.
The Ultra EV is available in 7, 9, and 12-tonne variants. It is designed for urban, regional, and closed-loop operations.
For heavy-duty use, the Prima E.55S prime mover delivers 630 BHP and uses a 453 kWh battery. The Prima E.28K is an electric tipper developed for mining and construction applications.

Tata’s full truck range, including Signa, Prima, Ultra, and Azura, complies with the ECE R29 03 global crash safety standard. The cabins are engineered for frontal, rollover, and side-impact protection.
The trucks offer up to 23 India-specific advanced safety features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and collision mitigation systems.
All models are also equipped with Fleet Edge, Tata’s next-generation connected vehicle platform.
