KATHMANDU: Sipradi Trading, the official distributor of Tata Motors in Nepal, has announced that customers can purchase the Tata Tiago EV by paying daily installments of Rs 622.
Under the scheme, customers making a 50% down payment and taking an EV loan from Rastriya Banijya Bank Ltd (RBBL) at an interest rate of 6.10% will be eligible to drive Tiago EV home on these daily payments.
For the Tata Punch EV, customers would need to pay Rs 803 per day under the same interest rate and down payment conditions.
Sipradi Trading has collaborated with RBBL to provide these financing options.
The Tata Tiago EV comes with a 24 kWh battery paired with a 48 kW motor. The Punch EV, on the other hand, features a 35 kWh battery with a 98 kW motor.
Both EV models have been highly successful in Nepal. The Tiago EV has been on sale for the past two years, while the Punch EV has completed its first year in the market. Over the past two years, 2,233 units of the Tiago EV have been registered on Nepali roads, while 898 units of the Punch EV have been imported in its first year. These sales figures are considered impressive in terms of the size of Nepal’s EV market.

The Punch EV is currently available in two variants. The Empowered LR variant is priced at Rs 3.799 million, while the Empowered +S LR version is available at Rs 3.999 million.
