KATHMANDU: The facelift version of the Xpeng G6 can now recharge enough to drive 450 kilometers with just 10 minutes of charging.

According to Chinese media reports, the model, which previously used a “3C” charging-supported battery, now comes with a battery that supports “5C” charging.

The right-hand-drive version of the updated Xpeng G6 was launched in Thailand last week. The facelift was first unveiled in China four months ago.

The Thailand model is equipped with an 80.8 kWh LFP battery pack, which the company claims can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes using a 451 kW charger.

Since the Xpeng G6 crossover is already available in the Nepali market, it can be expected that the updated version will also be brought to Nepal sooner or later.

The upgraded Xpeng G6 supports 5C ultra-fast charging and is built on an 800-volt architecture. The new version also comes with the AI-powered Tianji XOS system.

Xpeng sells the G6 in more than 30 countries, including Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, Egypt, Singapore, Australia and Nepal, along with China.
