KATHMANDU: Vietnamese EV maker VinFast is preparing to launch its electric MPV lineup in India this April. The company will offer two versions: Limo Green for fleet operators and MPV 7 for private buyers.

Both models measure 4.7 meters in length and come with a 2.8-meter wheelbase. They ride on 18-inch alloy wheels and offer a ground clearance of 170 mm.

In terms of design, the MPVs feature VinFast’s signature V-shaped LED lighting at the front and rear. They also get aero-optimized alloy wheels. Both versions offer seating for up to seven passengers.

Inside, the cabin follows a clean layout. It includes a central touchscreen, a 3-spoke steering wheel, and a large center console.

Powering both MPVs is a front-mounted electric motor producing 201 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. They are equipped with a 60.13 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of up to 450 km (NEDC cycle).

The battery supports fast charging and can be charged from 10 to 70 percent in around 30 minutes using an 80 kW DC fast charger.

In the Indian market, the MPV 7 is expected to compete with models like the Kia Carens Clavis EV and Mahindra XEV 9S.
