KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance has clarified concerns regarding alleged information leaks related to electric vehicle (EV) imports. The ministry stated that the EVs currently entering Nepal have been imported in full compliance with existing rules.

According to the ministry, EVs imported through the Korala border point are legal and follow proper procedures. It also noted that an investigation is ongoing regarding activities at the Rasuwa Customs Office.

The ministry released this statement to address recent claims surrounding irregularities in EV imports. The ministry’s clarification is presented as issued.
