KATHMANDU: CG Motors has brought the Xpeng X9, a luxury electric MPV, to the Nepali market ahead of its formal launch. The X9 was first unveiled at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show.
Built on an advanced 800-volt electric platform, the X9 supports up to 330 kW DC fast charging. It is powered by a 235 kW front-wheel-drive motor paired with an 84.5 kWh LFP battery, delivering a WLTP-certified driving range of up to 480 km.
Designed for a premium travel experience, the car features Xpeng’s LiDAR-less Hawk Eye ADAS system and a luxurious zero-gravity seat layout. In terms of dimensions, the X9 measures 5,293 mm long, 1,988 mm wide and 1,785 mm tall.
The first two rows of seats in the MPV, which can be configured for 6 or 7 seats, can be adjusted in 14 different ways. Equipped with heated and ventilated seats along with a 16-point massage function, the MPV offers an excellent travel experience. Even the third-row seats have heating feature.
To minimize motion sickness, the X9 uses a ‘6D AI Anti-Motion Sickness’ suspension system, featuring dual-chamber air springs, double-wishbone front suspension, and a multi-link rear setup. The system allows the vehicle’s ride height to be raised by up to 90 mm.
A standout interior feature is the 14-inch ceiling-mounted fold-down display with 3K resolution and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, designed for rear-seat entertainment and a “living room” experience. Additional amenities include foldable tables, individual USB-C charging ports, a panoramic sunroof, and a rear control panel mounted on the back of the center console.
CG Motors, the official distributor of Xpeng in Nepal, has not announced the retail price yet.
