KATHMANDU: Yamaha has started selling a new color variant of the XSR 155 motorcycle in Nepal. The new Metallic Blue variant is now available through Yamaha’s authorized distributor, MAW Rides.
The new variant is priced at Rs 539,900. It was introduced through the ongoing Yamaha Blue Fest at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
There are no mechanical or feature changes in the new variant. The update is limited to the Metallic Blue color. The XSR 155 was officially launched in Nepal at the NADA Auto Show 2026 and has already received strong customer interest. MAW Rides recorded 428 bookings for the motorcycle during the six-day event.
The Yamaha XSR 155 combines neo-retro styling with modern technology. It is based on the same 155cc platform used in the Yamaha R15 and MT-15.
The motorcycle features a Delta Box frame, round LED headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and flat single-piece seat. It has a curb weight of 137 kg, 120 mm ground clearance and a 10-liter fuel tank.
Power comes from a 155cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, four-valve, SOHC, fuel-injected engine with VVA. It produces 18.4 PS of maximum power and 14.2 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch.
The XSR 155 gets USD telescopic front forks and a linked monoshock rear suspension. Braking is handled by dual discs with dual-channel ABS. It also gets tubeless tires and color-matched alloy wheels.
Other features include a full-digital LCD instrument cluster with Yamaha’s smartphone connectivity system, call and SMS alerts, full-LED lighting, DRLs, traction control and an electric starter.
The new Metallic Blue variant joins the existing XSR 155 lineup in Nepal, expanding the color options for the neo-retro motorcycle.
