KATHMANDU: Yamaha has officially launched the XSR 155 motorcycle in Nepal.
MAW Rides, the authorized distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Nepal, has started sales of the XSR 155 at the NADA Auto Show 2026.
The neo-retro motorcycle is available in three color options: Red, Black and Grey.
The Red variant is priced at Rs. 539,000, while the Black costs Rs. 544,000. The Gray variant is priced at Rs. 559,000.
The XSR 155 takes design inspiration from Yamaha’s global XSR family. It combines a retro design with modern technology. The motorcycle is based on the same platform as the Yamaha R15 and MT-15.
It features a Delta Box frame, round LED headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a flat single-piece seat. The bike has a 10-liter fuel tank and weighs 137 kg.
Power comes from a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). It produces 18.4 PS and 14.2 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch.
The XSR 155 gets upside-down front forks and a rear link-type monoshock. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. It also gets tubeless tires and alloy wheels.
The motorcycle comes with a fully digital LCD instrument cluster with Yamaha Y-Connect smartphone connectivity. Other features include call and SMS alerts, full-LED lighting, DRLs, traction control and an electric starter.
The XSR 155 has a ground clearance of 170 mm in unladen condition and 120 mm at laden weight, according to Yamaha Nepal’s specifications.
