KATHMANDU: Homegrown EV brand Yatri is ready with the second generation of its flagship motorcycle, the P1.
The new model, P1 Gen 2, comes with updated graphics and is expected to feature several technical improvements. The company has picked up pace in research, development and production after Sipradi Trading invested in Yatri Motorcycles.
Besides the P1, the company is also working on its first electric scooter, the P2. Yatri recently shared images of the P2 on social media, hinting at its readiness. The updated P1 Gen 2 has “Gen 2” written on the battery box. More technical upgrades are likely, though details have not yet been revealed.
Ashim Pandey, Founder and Head of Engineering at Yatri, said the company plans to unveil the new model at the upcoming auto show. “We have made various updates based on user feedback,” he said.
Currently, there are 80 Yatri motorcycles on the road. Pandey added that customer experience played a key role in refining the new generation. Sales of the P1 Gen 2 are expected to begin from the NADA Auto Show 2025.
