KATHMANDU: Segway is preparing to launch two new electric bikes in the Nepali market.
iHub Pvt Ltd, the authorized distributor of Segway in Nepal, plans to unveil two new Segway models—Xyber and Xafari—during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo, which kicks off in Kathmandu on August 6.
Both bikes are equipped with foot pedals, allowing them to be used like a regular bicycle with the help of the pedals if the battery runs out.
According to the company, the Segway Xyber is suitable for normal off-road riding. It comes with a 3kW motor and an optional dual-battery setup. With dual batteries and pedal assist, it offers a range of up to 225 kilometers. The Xyber also features off-road capable suspension and tires, pedal-assist technology, a 2.4-inch color display with an integrated controller, smartphone connectivity via a mobile app, a GPS tracking system, 10A fast charging, and an intelligent lighting system.

The Segway Xafari, on the other hand, features a 750W hub motor and a 936Wh battery pack. It is equipped with comfortable suspension, air loc00k keyless locking system, app-based access and control, thermal protection layers for hot and cold weather, 4A fast charging and an all-in-one connected smart console.
