KATHMANDU: Royal Enfield is set to unveil a new motorcycle in the Nepali market next week. The company’s official distributor in Nepal, Alpha Automotive, has confirmed the launch for May 11. The announcement was made through a teaser shared on social media.

The teaser does not reveal detailed information. However, based on the visuals, the upcoming model is expected to be the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450.

The Guerrilla 450 is based on the same platform as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. It uses the Sherpa engine platform but features a completely different design.

The motorcycle follows a retro roadster styling. It gets a circular LED headlamp and tail lamp, aluminum handlebar, sculpted fuel tank, upswept exhaust, and a single-piece seat.

In terms of features, it includes a high-resolution Tripper Dash with a circular TFT instrument console. Other features include Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, rider alerts, night mode display, full LED lighting, dual disc brakes, dual-channel ABS, ride modes, switchable ABS, and a slipper and assist clutch.

The Guerrilla 450 rides on 17-inch black alloy wheels with tubeless tires. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and an offset mono-shock at the rear.

Dimension-wise, the motorcycle measures 2,134 mm in length, 834 mm in width, and 1,115 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,491 mm. It is only around 2 kg heavier than the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, which is a positive aspect.

Powering the bike is a 452 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, fuel-injected Sherpa engine. It produces 40 hp at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
