MG S6 EV first drive: a serious rival or still playing catch-up?

KATHMANDU: MG’s new electric SUV, the S6, has officially entered the Nepali market. MG Motor distributor Paramount Motors has launched the SUV at a price of Rs 6.999 million.

The MG S6 has attracted attention with its modern design, powerful electric motor, and large battery pack. The SUV is powered by a 180 kW electric motor paired with a 77 kWh LFP battery.

According to the company, the S6 delivers a WLTP-certified range of up to 530 kilometers on a full charge.

The SUV has been positioned aggressively in terms of pricing compared to rivals in the segment. This is expected to increase competition in Nepal’s growing EV market.
