KATHMANDU: Tata Motors has confirmed plans to launch six new models in FY2027. The lineup will include two all-new products and four facelift versions of existing vehicles.

The company’s Managing Director and CEO for Passenger Vehicles, Shailesh Chandra, said the Sierra.ev will launch in the second quarter of FY2027. The electric SUV will be positioned between the Curvv.ev and Harrier.ev in Tata’s EV portfolio, according to Indian media reports.

Tata is also preparing an electric version of the Safari SUV. The Safari.ev is expected to rival the upcoming Mahindra XEV 9S and could arrive during the festive season this year.

Under its premium EV brand Avinya, Tata is expected to introduce its first production-ready electric vehicle before the end of the current fiscal year. Reports suggest it could be a premium SUV built on a skateboard platform.

The company is also planning updates for existing models, including the Tiago and Tigor. The facelifted Tiago.ev has already been spotted testing, and similar design updates are expected on the ICE version as well.

In addition, Tata Motors is working on its first flex-fuel vehicle. According to Chandra, the model could debut by the end of 2026 or in early 2027.
