Tata launches Nexon EV with Level 2 ADAS

KATHMANDU: Tata Motors has launched Nexon EV with Level 2 Advanced Driving Assist System (ADAS) in the Indian market.

According to the company, Nexon EV has become the first sub-four meter electric SUV in India to offer such a comprehensive ADAS suite.

The Level 2 Advanced Driving Assist System (ADAS) in the Nexon EV includes several safety features such as lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, auto high-beam assist, traffic sign recognition, rear cross-traffic collision warning and driver drowsiness detection, according to Indian media reports.

The ADAS features are available on the newly introduced Empowered +A 45 variant which is priced at 1.729 million Indian rupees (ex-showroom). This variant also includes a rear window sunshade and ambient lighting as new features, according to the company.

Tata has also launched two new exclusive variants – the Empowered +A 45 Dark and the Empowered +A 45 Red Dark – which are priced at 1.729 million Indian rupees (ex-showroom) each.

The car is powered by a 45 kWh battery which delivers a torque of 215 Nm and an MIDC-claimed range of 489 km, according to the company.

Sipradi Trading, which represents Tata Motors in Nepal, currently distributes Tata’s electric modes like Curvv, Nexon K3, Punch, Xpres-T and Tiago in the passenger car segment.
